Hey everybody,
I'm working hard, and I had a cool experience with my new companionship after my old companion left. I was working on some Christlike attributes last week and I chose to do charity/love because my district leader and his companion were bugging me a ton, and I didnt want that to interfere with the spirit. So I decided to find ways to get to know him and was praying for it as well, because I figure that the more I understand him, the easier it would be to get along with him. So its obvious the Lord knew what He was doing because guess who my new companions were? Yeah, the District leader. We had a really cool spiritual experience. The Lord answered my prayer and now I feel a strong brotherly love towards him. Its cool to hear that quote on temple protection. I've been going once a week every PDay. I think I talked about part of the fireside about temples. The speaker talked about when he was on his mission (back in the day) when he and his district leader were in the Salt Lake Temple. They were having a Q&A with the prophet, until an elder asked if the savior has actually been every room of the temple. Then the prophet stopped looked at him and said that Christ has been in every room of every temple and knows each temple well. So yeah, something cool to think about next time you;re in the temple. Heeyyy, sooo another good week. Just doing the usual, wake up, shower, eat, study, eat, study, eat, study, bed. Don't act like you're not impressed. Its the most studying I've ever done in my life. I feel like I'm almost there with the language, My companion and I have decided to try and speak only in Portuguese tomorrow. So, it'll be a prettty quiet day. Which reminds me, my companion got his visa yesterday. It was pretty awesome, he leaves this Tuesday, so I'll probably be in a tripanionship until another elder leaves a week from this Tuesday. He's apparently #4 out of 200 other missionaries waiting for their visas. It's pretty cool to see the Lord's hand in directing these people and I wonder why my companion needed to come here first. Probably because I was his companion or something =]. There have been some way cool devotionals here and every Tuesday we have a chance for any of the quorum of the 12 to teach us. None have come in a while, so I'd imagine that they're planning a visit soon. I think I'm doing pretty good being obedient and everything here, but thats not saying much because the MTC directs every second of your life. But even when I'm out in the field I think I'll do alright. Something cool I read/heard the other day. Im not sure which of the authors said this, but when they were writing Preach My Gospel, they were directed to write certain passages and paragraphs by old prophets like Nephi and stuff. Soo super cool. Anyways I've got to go. Love you.
